Job Title: Takeout Counter Clerk
Reports To: Manager
Pay: $13/hour + Tips
Benefits: Shift Meals, Employee Discounts, End of Season Bonus
Schedule: Part-time / Full Time
Summary: Take Out Counter Clerks provide exceptional service and quality products for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Greeting customers as they arrive and making them feel welcome.
-Answering questions about the menu, and making note of special requests, if required.
-Answer telephone in a professional manner to take orders.
-Serving food to diners from a counter or take out window.
-Communicating food and drink orders to the kitchen staff.
-Assembling and packaging takeaway orders.
-Maintaining cleanliness standards by keeping the counters, tableware, and utensils clean.
-Replenishing food supplies when required.
-Processes customer payments to include receiving payments, managing cash drawer, operating charge machines and returning appropriate change.
-Ensures customer orders are filed in a timely manner.
-Complying with company policies.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
-A high school diploma or GED.
-Previous customer service experience is preferred.
-Working knowledge of promoting, selling, and packaging food products.
-The ability to process bills and cash registers.
-Experience working with POS systems.
-The ability to adhere to and uphold sanitization standards.
-Excellent listening and communication skills.
-Excellent telephone etiquette.
-A positive attitude and a polite and friendly demeanor.
-Able to stand all day while frequently bending and twisting, occasionally kneeling/squatting, and light to moderate lifting.
-Ability work in a fast-paced environment
