Spending Thanksgiving on Martha’s Vineyard is a great idea for family and friends. If you’re coming from the mainland, it’s a great holiday to spend some time on island when it’s a bit more relaxed and calm, hotel rates are more affordable, and the overall energy of the island is tranquil and serene. 


Our local restaurants are serving up savory suppers and other Thanksgiving offerings from dine-in, to take-out, and of course desserts too! We’ve put together a delicious list of options so dig in and enjoy!


Where to Eat Sit Down Thanksgiving Dinner on Martha’s Vineyard




Bettini Restaurant at the Harbor View Hotel offers a festive, four-course dinner for you to savor the taste of the holiday while taking in the breathtaking view of Edgartown Harbor and Lighthouse, with takeout available! Menu highlights include Cream of Roasted Winter Squash, Endive Salad, Braised Grey Barn Short Rib, Fried Turkey, Candied Sweet Potato Puree and more! Dinner served from 12 pm to 6 pm. The Black Dog Tavern offers a traditional three-course Thanksgiving dinner from their cozy Tavern on scenic Vineyard Haven harbor. The traditional Thanksgiving dinner includes your choice of their famous Clam Chowder or Ginger Pumpkin Bisque, plus  Fresh Herb-Roasted Turkey, Housemade Bread Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Yams, Green Beans, Sweet Corn, Turkey Gravy,  Cranberry Relish, Fresh Dinner Rolls, and your choice of Baker-made Pies & Desserts. S & S KitchenetteThe new culinary-inspired space in Vineyard Haven has a mouthwatering take-out menu including Herb-Citrus Brined Turkey, Pomegranate Lacquered Salmon, Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes, and a whole host of other options that will leave you feeling satisfied this holiday. Morning Glory Farm: Edgartown’s famous farm offers a wide selection of kitchen sides, bakery goods, and floral centerpieces available for Thanksgiving pre-order. Order by November 21 online at morninggloryfarm.com.

Woods at Lambert’s Cove Inn: Order a delicious and beautifully prepared Thanksgiving Dinner for your family and friends from Chef Galen Sampson. Choose from mouthwatering options like Smoked Bluefish Chowder, Cheddar Scallion Biscuits, Braised Short Ribs, Red Quinoa Stuffed Delicata Squash, and more creative creations. Order by November 21.
