About the Role

Join the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce this summer and gain hands-on experience in marketing, tourism, event logistics, hospitality, and community engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the center of island business and tourism operations while supporting major Chamber initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Assist visitors and members by managing inquiries via phone, email, and social media—providing helpful recommendations, local business information, and travel guidance.

Support Chamber marketing efforts including drafting social posts, gathering content, and helping with email newsletters.

Maintain and update Chamber databases, informational materials, and membership records.

Help distribute the The Martha’s Vineyard Guide across the island (reliable transportation required).

Support event preparation and on-site execution for Chamber programs 

Organize storage spaces and promotional materials, keeping the Visitor Center and office well-stocked and orderly.

Assist with visitor center operations, greeting guests and ensuring an excellent visitor experience.

Collaborate with staff on special summer projects, including sponsorship fulfillment, content collection, and destination marketing initiatives.

Requirements

Must be living on Martha’s Vineyard for the summer - housing must be secured prior to start date

Reliable transportation

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Friendly, professional demeanor and willingness to jump in wherever needed
