POSITION OVERVIEW

This busy frame shoppe and art gallery is searching for a person who knows or is willing to learn the craft of custom framing. This person is friendly and enjoys working with customers, answering phone calls and scheduling appointments. 

• This opportunity is for someone that is interested in detailed/precision (carpentry) work. 
• Additional duties include maintaining the backroom, safeguarding customer artwork, inventory control and general shoppe maintenance, to name a few.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. 
• They are willing to learn and perform to the high standards set forth. 
• They are efficient and work neatly.
• They are dependable, detail obsessed and flexible.
• They have a keen/creative eye and are willing to get their hands dirty.
• They are able to stand for the full shift they would be working. 
• They are able to lift and move heavy materials, including large pieces of artwork

Picture framing falls into the interior design category - every step of the process is important to the whole, and mistakes can be costly. This position is a very important one and requires someone that is interested for the long term. 

SCHEDULE

This is a year round position with a regular/steady schedule. Training is ongoing.
